Our Story 

Like many, many other people, after Covid had settled and we were all beginning to "restart" our  lives, Gill and I began to casually wonder how we could change our lives.

It began with chats over coffee, casting ideas that seemed "interesting".

And then, quite unexpectedly, making changes got a whole load more serious!

We'd just left Musgrove Hospital, where we had had Gill's final cancer sign-off, and we were having a celebration coffee. We were remembering the long days of uncertainty, and the highlight moments from those times. Would it surprise you to know that the best highlights were the times that we received notecard messages from family and friends - somehow those messages carried us through what might otherwise have been a tricky old day. Over those celebration cups of coffee, we decided that we wanted other people to share the same smiley warmth that we had received from our notecard messages

And that's where Notecards.co.uk became a real idea... a positive way to help change our lives, and maybe others too.

We believe that when someone takes time to buy a notecard, write a message in it, and then posts it... they are sending a most powerful message to the recipient that you can ever imagine.

They are saying "I care, I'm thinking of you".

And their "sharing" brings a smile to the person opening the notecard. 

A smile!

A smile that returns every time they look at the notecard standing on a shelf or mantle piece.

Today, we run Notecards because everyday we remember the power of a notecard and it's message.

We want as many people as possible to use our notecards to send a smile... and that's why we decided to sell our packs at a very modest price, because we don't want price to be a barrier to anyone sending a smile.
